Posting Anonymously

It is possible for LinkedIn users to post and make semi-anonymous postings, depending on job description as there is a bare minimum information that the user must include.   • Using emojis and hashtags in LinkedIn posts is encouraged as it boosts engagement and has potential to increase visibility, thus reaching a greater audience
  • Users are encouraged to post 2-3 times weekly to maximize visibility through LinkedIn’s feed

How to Post

Posting on LinkedIn is very straightforward and simple. A LinkedIn post may be published on the LinkedIn mobile app or on the LinkedIn website. Simply click “Start a post” at the top of the homepage, then enter the post content in the appropriate field. The user may choose their visibility option to select who they want to share the post with, then click post. After the post is made, users may edit posts they’ve shared. Edits can be made by clicking the “More” icon in the upper right corner of the post they would like to change, they can select “Edit post” from the dropdown menu. Once they edit their post and are satisfied with their changes they can click save and their post should be changed.

Scheduling a post

LinkedIn posts may be scheduled to be published between an hour and three months in advance. Scheduled posts will be published with the default visibility setting made as the post was created. Users should check their settings before creating a scheduled post. Once a post is created and scheduled, users can’t edit the content of the post. Changes users can make once a post is scheduled is a rescheduled date and time or if needed, scheduled posts may be deleted before it is published.

Visibility Options

LinkedIn allows their users to decide who they want to allow their post to be visible towards. It should be noted that users can not change the visibility option of their post once it has been published. Another thing that users should be aware of is that every time a new visibility option is chosen, it will be selected as the default option. LinkedIn users should be aware of their default visibility option before publishing another post.
